Data FlashAKT does not collect

FlashAKT is a local, offline revision app. It has no user accounts, backend, advertising, analytics, or tracking. Appocrates Ltd does not collect or receive personal data from the app and cannot see your study activity.

Data stored on your device

FlashAKT stores the following information locally:

revision progress and spaced-repetition schedules;
exam date, reminder choices, and mock-exam results;
clinic captures and personal cards you create; and
summary data shared with the FlashAKT widget through an Apple App Group used only by FlashAKT and its widget.

Reminder notifications are scheduled locally through iOS. FlashAKT does not use remote push notifications.

Do not enter patient-identifiable information, including names, dates of birth, NHS numbers, addresses, or contact details, in clinic captures or personal cards.

Backups and source links

FlashAKT exports a backup only when you ask it to. Apple's system share sheet lets you choose where the file goes. That destination handles the file under its own privacy terms. Backups may contain clinic captures and personal cards, so keep them secure.

Opening a clinical citation may leave FlashAKT and contact the source website. That website receives normal browser request information under its own privacy policy; FlashAKT does not receive it.

Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you remove it in FlashAKT or delete the app. iOS may include app data in device or iCloud backups according to your Apple settings. Exported backups remain wherever you saved them and must be deleted there separately.

Because Appocrates Ltd receives no personal data from FlashAKT, there is no server-side account or record for us to delete. You can withdraw notification permission in iOS Settings.
